Purho will be among the protagonists of The Venice Glass Week 2018 – the international festival devoted to the art of glass scheduled in Venice from September 9th to 16th 2018 – with the installation project Edie hosted in the lounge area of Ca’ Pisani, design hotel located in Dorsoduro, one of the most effervescent cultural areas of Venice just a few steps from the Accademia bridge.

Edie goes beyond the mere concept of a product to be configured as an installation of vases and brand new Murano blown glass bowls designed by Elena Cutolo – the talented designer trained under the guidance of Ettore Sottsass – housed in the lounge area of the Design Hotel Ca ‘Pisani, transformed for the occasion into an immersive environment combining art and design. Conceived by the Hotel Ca ‘Pisani in collaboration with AtemporaryStudio and Ilaria Ruggiero, the project and the context of The Venice Glass Week will therefore be the places designated for the presentation of the new Edie Bowls series in which the generous dimensions, the colour treated in its purity, the minimal use of graphics and decorations, will give a new aspect to the whole, further emphasised by the dialogue between artefact and interior. Edie and Edie ’60 vases will be presented in a new shade and in limited edition.
